About Us
Serving Memphis Since 2010
Dr. Pamela Gray Addison, is a member of First Baptist Church-Broad Avenue. She is the former pastor of Kingdom Life Baptist Church where she served as Senior Pastor for over 11 years. She is vibrant and excited about the Word of God and its influence on the lives of those who trust Him. Dr. Addison received her Master of Divinity Degree from Memphis Theological Seminary in 1997 and later earned a Doctorate in Theology from Memphis Theological Seminary in May of 2013. Her Graduate Project was entitled “Grief and the African American Church” focusing on the impact grief has on an individual which directly impacts the health of a church and society. Following the call of Pastoral Care, she formed Grief Counselors, Inc. in 2009, providing workshops to congregations, corporations and individuals around the City who are impacted by loss through the death of a loved one primarily but also counsels others who are experiencing loss due to divorce, career change, relocations, and relationship breakups. Dr. Addison has been providing grief counseling services that seek to identify the stages of grief, the effects of grief, identifying oneself after the loss and participating in the healing. Her ultimate goal is to help, restore hope and to heal those grieving so that the individual can re-engage in life as smoothly as possible.
